WILMINGTON — The Carter Lecture Fund Committee directed Theresa A. McDermott to contact Joey Voices, a singer and voice impersonator, about an October 2026 performance. Chairwoman Barbara Bishop, Karen A.
Hunter, Meghan Jones, Theresa A. McDermott, and Margaret Ann St. Onge attended.
Unable to engage prior performers, the committee discussed tying the event to the nation's 250th anniversary and considered a World War II lecture but concluded it was too late to pursue. McDermott was directed to follow up on the grant reimbursement to the Wilmington Cultural Council; Hunter was tasked with researching how other Massachusetts towns manage legacy speaker series; and Jones was assigned to modernize the Sarah Carter website.
