Library Hosts Summer Beach Party Concert With Dave Rudolf
The Wilmington Public Library brought a taste of the shore to town Wednesday evening with an outdoor "Summer Beach Party" concert, while a Wilmington driver's involvement in a fatal Concord crash and a Wakefield man's drug and gun arrest drew regional attention.
COMMUNITY & ARTS
The Wilmington Public Library hosted singer-songwriter Dave Rudolf for a Summer Beach Party concert Wednesday evening on the library's outdoor patio, weather permitting, bringing music and "laid-back summer vibes" to the community room lawn starting at 6 p.m. The event is part of the library's ongoing slate of free summer programming tied to its "Plant a Seed, Read" summer reading theme.
Looking ahead, the library will host the second installment of a three-part gardening series with Master Gardener Nancy Kuhajda on August 5 at 6 p.m. in the WPLD Community Room, focused on preparing gardens for fall and composting. Registration also remains open for a library-organized bus trip to see the Chicago White Sox play the Cincinnati Reds on August 13, open to teens 13 and older with a parent or guardian as well as adults.
