Library's Fall Gardening Session Closes Out Summer Series
WILMINGTON — Wilmington Public Library's summer gardening series concludes Wednesday evening, while regional weather and economic headlines continued to ripple through town this week, according to Patch reports.

The Wilmington Public Library's three-part gardening presentation series with Nancy Kuhajda, a Master Gardener, Naturalist, and Composter, concludes Wednesday, August 5, at 6 p.m. in the library's Community Room. The session, "Preparing the Garden for Fall and Composting," rounds out a series offered in celebration of this year's Summer Reading theme, "Plant a Seed, Read." All programs are free and open to the public.
The library is also taking registrations for a bus trip to Chicago to see the White Sox take on the Cincinnati Reds on Thursday, August 13. The outing, open to teens 13 and up with a parent or guardian as well as adults, will depart from the library at 10:45 a.m.
The Wilmington Public Library Board of Trustees will hold its monthly meeting on Monday, August 17, at 7 p.m. in the Meeting Room. The meeting is open to the public.
