Sutton Brook groundwater safety questioned again in Wilmington
Wilmington Public Library has a busy stretch of programming this week, while Patch coverage continues to track ongoing conversations about school phone policies and inclusive sports fundraising in town.
COMMUNITY & ARTS
The Wilmington Public Library will host members of the Will County Beekeepers Association, Dade Bradley and Anthony Merkel, on Wednesday, July 8 at 6 p.m. in the WPLD Community Room. The program will introduce attendees to the basics of beekeeping and the role bees play as pollinators, with guests getting an up-close look at the insects.
The library also has two programs for young families set for Thursday, July 9. "Coffee, Tea, My Toddler, & Me" runs at 11 a.m., giving parents a chance to relax with coffee or tea while library staff member Mrs. Amanda plays with and reads to children. Later that evening at 6 p.m., "Kidz Crafternoon" returns with a seasonal craft — this week, Farm Animal Windsocks — paired with a story time. Registration is required for the craft program, and residents are asked to call the library or check its Facebook page to reserve a spot.
