Elderly Services · Meeting of April 16, 2026
Wilmington Elder Services Commission approved a revised Senior Center mission statement. Commissioners Ken Clarkin and Robin Theodos moved and seconded the changes, which removed language about age and ability requirements and emphasized the center's commitment to providing services to older residents. The commission announced multiple spring events including a grief support workshop beginning April 28, a live concert April 30, and a collaborative prom May 7, and reported the free income tax program served more than 155 seniors this year through AARP volunteers.
