Wilmington Firm Wins Federal Additive Manufacturing Award

Wilmington-based Seurat Technologies has been selected for an America Makes JAQS-SQ award supporting defense additive manufacturing work, according to a wire report, while the Wilmington Public Library prepares for its Summer Beach Party Concert Wednesday evening.

The library's outdoor patio will host a Summer Beach Party Concert with singer/songwriter Dave Rudolf on Wednesday, July 29, at 6 p.m. (weather permitting), bringing what organizers describe as a high-energy, beach-themed evening of music to the community room grounds. The library is also continuing its summer gardening series, with Master Gardener Nancy Kuhajda returning August 5 at 6 p.m. for the final installment, "Preparing the Garden for Fall and Composting," part of the "Plant a Seed, Read" summer reading theme. Registration is also open for a library-organized bus trip on August 13 to see a Chicago White Sox game, open to teens 13 and older accompanied by a parent or guardian, as well as adults, with the group meeting at the library at 10:45 a.m.
